From 2010 to today, there are prices real estate in the EU increased by an average of 4% per year. In Slovenia, as much as 47%. Which means for the entire EU area:
48% growth in real estate over the last 12 years, while according to Eurostat, rents have increased at the level of the average of all EU countries - only by 18% (in the same period.)*
*these data refer to the statistics of the overall average of real estate prices in (EU).
According to the European Statistical Office, housing prices have increased in 12 EU member states over the past 24 years, but decreased in three, RTV SLO reported.
Prices have almost tripled real estate in a small Baltic Sea country with a population of 1,3 million – Estonia, namely for 196%, while rental prices in this country have increased by a staggering 214%.

Hungary, with about 9 million inhabitants, is s 168% real estate price growth landed in a high second place.

V Luxembourg numbered as many as 2022 inhabitants in January 645.397. According to Eurostat data, Luxembourg lags behind in price increases real estate in the last 12 years by more than 60% and is behind the first place s 135% real estate price growth, in third place.

It follows Latvija s 131% rising prices real estate and 1,8 million inhabitants, while Lithuania lags behind its predecessor by only 1%. Almost 2,8 million people live in this country.

The same story with the result was repeated on Czech Republic: 130% real estate price growth in the period 2010-2022. The Czech Republic has developed tremendously in recent years, it currently has a population of 10.754.119 and as much as 73,5% of the Czech population lives in cities.

Our neighbor too Austria recorded an extremely high growth in real estate prices in the past period, namely, as much as 121%. As of April 2022, over 9 million people live in this country, of which 75% are Austrians, the rest are immigrants.

Let's turn the globe a little in the other direction... And where have real estate prices in the EU fallen in the past period?
Apartment prices have decreased only in our neighbors - v Italy and among others also in Greece and on Cipru. In the latter two, rental prices also fell.

According to the latest statistical data, 2 million inhabitants live in Slovenia in an area of 20.271 km2, surrounded by beautiful mountains, clear rivers and extremely beautiful lakes.
Slovenia has only 43 km of its own coastline, but year by year it is gaining recognition as an exceptional and wonderful global boutique destination, with a picturesque landscape and thousands of natural wonders. The rich cuisine and excellent fine wine attract more and more tourists from near and far.
Many people fall in love at first sight with this wonderful country, on the sunny side of the Alps.
Maybe it's time to put Slovenia on your list of countries to visit next year.
